Dr. Olutoyin Iretiola Asaolu

Dr Olutoyin Iretiola Asaolu is a graduate of the College of Medicine (MBBS), University of Ilorin. She had her internship and residency training at the Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti and the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, respectively. She is a member of the West African College of Physicians.

Dr Asaolu is a two-time recipient of the World Gastroenterology Organization (WGO) training scholarship, the South Africa Gastroenterology Foundation training, and the United European Gastroenterology Week (UEGW) international scholarship. Before joining Lagoon Hospitals, she worked as a consultant gastroenterologist and a lecturer at the University of Gitwe in Rwanda.
She is a member of the following Associations: Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Nigeria (SOGHIN), the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).

Dr. Asaolu’s memberships in esteemed medical organizations and leadership in gastroenterology units showcase her dedication and expertise, earning her acclaim for clinical excellence and innovation.

She also loves to teach and currently shares medical knowledge via her social media pages.

When she is not working as a physician, she loves traveling and watching movies.

She is happily married with three children.
