Developing Your Unique Selling Point
“Unique Selling Points are created by solving bottlenecks, not avoiding them.”
To create a unique selling point for yourself, you must understand the power inherent in solving problems. There is always a way out of a challenge, no matter how convoluted it is.
Surprisingly, it is in the process of solving the botllenecks or challenges faced that Unique Selling Points are typically uncovered.
The cost price of running away from, or simply ignoring your challenges (with the hope that they’ll somehow disappear) could be the discovery of what ought to make you stand out. If you succumb to mental laziness at this juncture, the cost price is that huge!
But, here’s what happens when you apply your mind to creatively find solutions to ‘fascinating’ problems: the obstacle becomes the way. You see, even if someone else has gone through a similar challenge and found a creative solution to it, he/she cannot teach you everything that you must do (even if they want to!), they can only provide a blueprint for you to work with.
In summary, you must be ready to apply yourself creatively to solve your unique problems. In this way, your unique selling point is born.
